Company Profile
Lucky Seafood began meeting the seafood needs of consumers more than 10 years ago. It all started in Coral Springs, Florida in 1996, when Alex and Angie, founders of Lucky Seafood, began importing fish from Chile to the U. S.
By 2005, the growing popularity of Surimi, (better known as imitation crab meat) prompted Angie to further research the industry and learn more about it. Surimi consumption in North America had exploded and today, more than 170 million pounds of Surimi are sold in North American markets yearly, making it one of the fastest-growing seafood products in the world.

- First, we put three plates in front of each person, each plate
containing a sample from one of the brands, including our own.
- Before trying the imitation crab meat, we asked each person to
taste real crab meat.
- We then asked them to compare the three samples of imitation
crab meat and tell us which one tasted more like real crab. Out
of 30 people, 27 (90%) chose Lucky Seafood as the brand
that tasted closest to the real thing.
